MICHAEL MENGO

Michael Mengo is embarking on a journey fueled by resilience, innovation, and a strong sense of purpose. He grew up in Nairobi West, where his parents instilled in him the value of entrepreneurship from a young age. Selling ice lollies and growing salad greens to earn money ignited his passion for business. However, it was his diagnosis of cancer and subsequent job loss that truly reignited his entrepreneurial spirit. While undergoing chemotherapy, he came up with an idea for a battery-powered induction cooker, inspired by his love for cooking and environmental conservation.

Michael’s goal is to make clean energy affordable for homes across the continent and support other young entrepreneurs who often face neglect from financial institutions. He has personally funded and designed the product, and now, with the assistance of Africa 2100, he is prepared to construct and test a prototype. He is eager to transform his vision into reality, making a positive impact on lives and communities throughout Africa, and creating a brighter, more sustainable future for future generations.

BROWN MIKE-EBO

Brown Mike-Ebo is driven by a strong purpose to share the untold stories of Nigeria and change people’s perception of the country. He was raised by his foster mother after his father passed away. It was during his time at King’s College Lagos that Brown discovered his passion for leadership. He realized that using music and dance to tell stories can make a difference. After completing his National Youth Service, he noticed that important stories were being ignored in the media. Determined to fill this gap, Brown created ReportsNigeria TV, a platform dedicated to giving a voice to those who are often unheard and shedding light on stories that shape the nation.

Through documentaries and exclusive interviews, Brown’s goal is to offer solutions to pressing national issues and inspire hope among fellow Nigerians. However, he acknowledges that starting a media startup comes with challenges, such as acquiring equipment, obtaining licenses, and building the right team. Brown Mike-Ebo believes that the support and exposure provided by Africa 2100 will not only increase ReportNigeria TV’s social presence but also enable production of high-quality content that brings about positive change. He hopes that this will help rewrite the narrative of Nigeria, promote economic growth, social integration, and create a brighter future filled with hope.
