We are proud to welcome Shontelle Mixon, CPA, MBA to the Africa 2100 Board of Directors.
Shontelle serves as Divisional Senior Vice President of Internal Audit and Special Investigations at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), bringing more than 28 years of expertise in audit, accounting/finance, and operations. She has held leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Exelon, USAA, and HCSC, consistently driving excellence and innovation. A Lean Six Sigma Champion and Black Belt, she applies a continuous improvement mindset to every endeavor. During her career, she has participated in several executive leadership programs such as Leading Women Executives, Leadership Women (America Program) and the HCSC Emerging and Exelon High-Performing Executives.
Her leadership extends well beyond the workplace. Shontelle has served as Secretary of the Kellogg Alumni of Chicago Board and as a board member of her University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign alumni chapter. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Great Girls Network – Chicago, and has previously served as Treasurer of The Concilio Board in Dallas, Condo Association Finance Committee Member, Big Brothers Big Sisters mentor.
A passionate traveler, reader, and advocate for empowering others, Shontelle also enjoys exercising, spending time with her two daughters, and connecting with family and friends.
