Although Chudi Obiaya has been away from the continent for a few decades, he is of African origin, and had always wondered what could be done to empower those back home that often reached out for financial assistance. While it was possible to meet their immediate needs, the concern was that such assistance only provided fish for that day. The idea for Africa Twenty One Hundred came to him as the way to give agency – teach them to fish, and feed them for a lifetime by leveraging their desire for entrepreneurship. Along the way he realized the growing population and high youth unemployment in Africa, and the urgent need to empower them.
Chudi is a forward-thinking and successful operations executive. With 20+ years of experience, he aligns business and IT strategies to improve capabilities. He champions digital and organizational transformations, has helped Fortune 20 healthcare organizations execute their strategies. Chudi evaluates operations, improves controls and processes, and maximizes efficiency. He builds relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and customers to achieve goals. Chudi has lead teams focused on data and value. He is excited to work with startups and use his passion for innovation to drive meaningful change.
